Boating, Skiing, & Swimming for All Ages
Water recreation is an essential part of living in Hot Springs Village. In addition to the 11 Hot Springs Village lakes, there are three beaches, two large covered pavilions, and two full-service marinas. We’ve been described as a community of lakes surrounded by land. Lake Balboa, Hot Springs Village's largest, has almost 1,000 acres of water surface. Balboa has a boat ramp, white sandy beach and a marina complete with fishing, boating and skiing supplies. Lake Coronado, Cortez and DeSoto are the other larger recreational lakes suitable for boating and skiing and tubing. There are six other Hot Springs Village lakes, each with less than 50 acres of water mass. The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission stocks the lakes and monitors their progress. The result is trophy bass, crappie, catfish and more. The Village Angler’s Club sponsors regular fishing tournaments on area lakes and provides fishing guide services for individuals and groups of all ages. You won’t want to miss the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration displayed from the Balboa Beach or the weekly party barge Tie-up’s all summer long. Don’t have a boat, no problem. You can rent pontoons, canoes, kayaks and fishing boats from marinas at Lake Desoto and Lake Balboa. Hot Springs Village offers all the aquatic fun you'll ever need. Time to jump in!
